History

1993 - Having bought the license for South Africa, Mike Wolfe, CEO of Supercart, commenced trading.

1995 - The new Grocer Supercart trolley was launched into the South African market.

1998 - The worldwide Supercart business was acquired. Trading commenced in the USA with the existing 'Classic' Supercart trolley.

2000 - Venture Global Engineering acquired a 35.9% share in Supercart. Presented with the prestigious "Millennium Products Award" by PM Tony Blair.

2003 - A new full size Supercart trolley was launched in the USA.

2004 - On 4 February 2004 Supercart was listed on the London Stock Exchange.

2005 - Launched the world’s first recycled trolley for use in the South African market.

2006 - New 30 litre hand basket introduced for the European and South African markets.

2007 - The Nexus 135 and the Hyper 225 trolleys launched.

2008 - Brand new trolley introduced into the North American market, the Max200. The new Aussie 185 trolley launched in Australia.

2009 - Acquired assets and moulds from liquidation of Rehrig in North America.

2010 - Launched a range of metal carts in North American Market.
